i spent 8 years in a chinese school. i spent 8 years celebrating confucius day or teachers' day. but not until after around 8 years that i became fully aware of my gratitude to my real teachers. i just want to thank them (whether they still remember me or not, whether they know me or not) for being an epitome of true, real mentors.
ma'am rodriguez, thank you for making me feel loved in the most subtle way.
shensi carlos, thank you for giving me a memory of what a class should be- happy.
ma'am ato, thank you for showing me that teachers can be good too.
shensi cora, thank you for taking us home when no one's around to pick us up.
shensi bitin, thank you for believing in me and all that i can be.
ma'am galope, thank you for all the appreciation that no one has ever given me.
ma'am barney, thank you for knowing i could do better.
ma'am ferrer, thank you for letting me deserve that special moment.
sir abraham, thank you for always being proud to be a filipino.
sir cabanilla, thank you for showing so much passion and compassion in what you do.
sir alex, thank you for being what a teacher should be- once-a-student.
sir sarthou, thank you for strongly believing in the greatness of UP students.
dean luis, thank you for understanding that students do get tired too.
ma'am cases, thank you for making me realize that a legend has other sides too.
ma'am tess, thank you for showing me this path. i know i will thank you more one day.
my future mentors, i'm looking forward to the day i meet you.
